Hacker Burr was born in Southampton, New York, and grew up in Dover, Massachusetts. After earning a B.A. in English Literature from Roanoke College and an MBA from The Citadel, Hacker spent nearly two decades in education, including seven years as Headmaster of Charleston Collegiate School, where he doubled enrollment and raised millions in nonprofit support. Transitioning into real estate in 2020, Hacker brings strategic vision, financial acumen, and leadership expertise to every transaction.
Stephanie Burr, born in Westchester County, New York, has lived in Charleston since 2002. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from Roanoke College and a Master’s degree in Literacy from The Citadel. As a certified Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), Stephanie excels at building relationships, leveraging social media, and delivering exceptional results for her clients.
Together, the Burrs combine Hacker’s strategic mindset and local expertise with Stephanie’s marketing and negotiation skills to deliver a seamless and successful real estate experience. Longtime Johns Island residents, they live with their three children and two yellow labs. When they’re not helping clients, Hacker enjoys golfing, fishing, and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, while Stephanie loves gardening, running, and photography.
